Terry’s Music first opened at the Open Market in Treorchy in 1997 by Terry Rees and with moves to Aberdare and Tonypandy selling a wide range of items which included CD’s and DVD’s, Terry finally moved the location of the Music Store to Pontypridd.
From here, Terry began trading from the outside market, quickly moving the into the Pontypridd indoor Market and has quickly grown to become to most well recognised Independent Music Store in Pontypridd and across the South Wales region.
Finally in April 2014, Terry has settled into a store located on Church Street and has allowed him to expand not only the range of high quality musical instruments and items but has also provided a supportive hub for the local music community.
Mentioned in the Book by Graham Jones, “Last Shop Standing: Whatever Happened to Record Shops?” and adored by Musicians and fans alike, Terry’s Music Store has become local treasure for the local and wider community.
